Declaring Positions: Reading of the Statement in Three Languages
During the gathering, the Union’s official statement, containing the organization’s political positions, was read aloud in three languages—Persian, English, and Thai—for the awareness of public opinion, international observers, and the host community.
The main points of the statement were as follows:
- Support for weakening the regime: The statement explicitly noted that participants support any action that leads to the weakening of the Islamic Republic’s structure and facilitates the Iranian people’s path beyond this regime.
- The central role of the Iranian nation: Participants simultaneously emphasized that, while supporting the international weakening of the regime, it is the Iranian people who, as the primary agent, will ultimately write the final chapter of this regime.
Program Details and Activities
- Coverage in Local and International Media
The gathering received significant media coverage. Thai local journalists and media outlets were present at the scene and interviewed several participants and representatives of the Union. In addition, the scope and message of the gathering were reflected in news coverage by Persian-language media based outside the country.
- Playback of Speeches and Political Statements
Portions of the program were devoted to playing remarks and statements by Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi. In addition, to provide context regarding the international dimensions of the developments under discussion, statements and speeches by U.S. government officials were played in English.
Conclusion of the Gathering
In its closing segment, the event paid tribute to the Immortals (jāvīdnāmān) who lost their lives in the struggle for Iran’s freedom.
The gathering officially concluded with the performance of an epic defiant declamation (rajaz-khāni) by one of those present.
